Charity Projects

In 2018/19 I ran a charity art project to raise money for the midwife-led unit at Warwick Hospital to encourage discussions around pregnancy, parenting and mental health. The Happy Pregnancy Hearts were 40 hand-made typewriter artworks (to represent the 40 weeks of pregnancy), each that displayed a motivational quote to inspire women through their journey into motherhood. The project (along with donations from friends and family) raised £745 for The Bluebell Centre and was featured in local press, including a live interview with BBC Radio Coventry & Warwickshire.

Zines For The World

In 2017 I raised money for WWF (World Wide Fund For Nature) by self-publishing a typewriter poetry zine which was inspired by tarot and the occult. Poems and illustrations were created by various artists and writers in response to tarot cards – the were then published in an A5, self-made zine. There were 15 zines available and they raised £116 for WWF.
